Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the FiveRowBox desktop application, this website, and the service they talk to. By creating an account or using the software you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the service.
1. Who may use it
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. To use the eBay features you need your own eBay seller account in good standing. One person or business per account; you are responsible for everything done under yours.
2. What the service does
FiveRowBox catalogues your card inventory and, on your instruction, creates, revises and ends listings on eBay under your own eBay authorisation, and reads your orders back. It acts as a tool you operate. It is not a marketplace, not a broker, and not a party to any sale you make.
3. Your account and your credentials
Device tokens authenticate the desktop app and command-line tool as you. A device token is shown once and is equivalent to your account: keep it secret, create one per device, and revoke it from the account pages if a device is lost or a token is exposed. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
4. Your eBay connection
Connecting eBay authorises the service to act on your eBay account on your behalf, within the scope eBay grants. You can disconnect at any time from the app, which clears the stored eBay credentials. You remain solely responsible for your listings, your prices, your descriptions, your shipping and your compliance with eBay’s own User Agreement and seller policies. Nothing here overrides your agreement with eBay, and nothing the service does relieves you of it.
Buyer information reaching the service through eBay is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. You must use it only to fulfil and support your own orders.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service to list counterfeit, stolen, or otherwise prohibited items, or to break eBay’s rules or any applicable law;
- use buyer information obtained through the service for marketing, resale, profiling, or anything other than fulfilling the order it came from;
- attempt to reach another account’s data, probe or interfere with the service, or work around its limits;
- resell or redistribute the service itself, or use it to run listings on behalf of third parties without telling us.
6. AI features
Card identification, price suggestions and repricing recommendations are produced by automated systems and are estimates. They are not appraisals, valuations, or guarantees of what an item is or what it will sell for. Check them before you rely on them — a listing you publish is your representation to the buyer, not ours. Card images and card attributes are sent to the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy to produce these results.
7. Availability, changes and price
The service is currently free of charge and pre-release. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may impose usage limits on automated operations such as AI calls. We will not knowingly break your data, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability, and you should keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
8. Your content
Your inventory records, photographs, descriptions and prices remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you — to store, process, display and transmit that content, including to eBay and to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy, for the features you use. We do not use your content to train models and we do not sell it. You are responsible for having the right to the content you upload.
9. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it will be error-free, that identifications or prices will be accurate, or that eBay operations will always succeed.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost or corrupted data, or any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service — including a listing published at the wrong price, an item mis-identified, or an eBay operation that failed. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as they are permitted.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or that puts the service or its users at risk. On closure we delete or de-identify your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections 8 to 12 survive termination.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [OPERATOR: governing law jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be heard in [OPERATOR: venue for disputes].
